Andrew Almighty? Andrew's Ark?
Dear Diary
I wonder if God ever ask me to build an ark in my backyard, what will I do? Genesis 6:14. Most frankly, I will probably freak out like Evan Baxter in the movie “Evan Almighty”! A hilarious movie indeed… yeah… becoming very beardy and “moustachy”, hahaha… Then again, the movie did kinda highlight that maybe if one does ask for courage or a close-knitted family, God will put one in a situation that can cultivate that? Hmmm… gotta check if that idea is biblical, haha… Sometimes, it goes to highlight how much faith those people in the bible had. Building an ark? Sounds crazy to me. That is why I wasn’t Noah. I really pray for more faith! Wondering where I am cruising or drifting along in my spiritual life. Need to take care of it. Sometimes, it is strange why people always need a crisis to be reminded of God. Sigh...
Had a good chat with my close primary school friend at Wheelock’s Coffee Bean joint. Unfortunately, he is not joining me for a mini-primary school reunion. In fact, this morning, I managed to confirm the meet-up with two other primary school classmates next week! Yay…. Really looking forward to it. My primary school is what you call a “neighbourhood” school. The rest of my academic life was spent in the premier institutions. There is something about "friendliness" amongst the “neighbourhood” environment compared to top schools. Hard to describe. Anyway, we were the first batch of students produced by our school then. We were the elite class though, haha… for most of us… our positions in class were exactly the same as our positions in standard... if you get what I mean… hee… We were a one-off success. Our primary school celebrates 20 years of existence this year but I heard its reputation is in shambles. Apparently, one teacher who taught us is still teaching in that school! Amazing!
Okay, gotta go and sleep now… you can give “Evans Almighty” a miss if you only have $7 in your pocket. Go catch “Ratatouille” instead. ;-) All the best to you and me! Tomorrow is going to be brighter and prettier… although I just heard some more distressing news from my pharmacy department. I sure hope we can tide over this together unscathed. Gonna stop a potentially negative domino effect. Pray for us!
God Bless,
Andrew
