Transiting

Dear Diary,

I can’t believe that I am looking at the 9,999-mark on the site-meter. Yup, the 9,999th reader just visited my blog at 10:57:57pm on 5 August. By the time I complete typing this entry, it might exceed 10,000 visitors. =) Ok, enough of the statistics for now, haha… There was this beautiful lady sitting behind me in church this morning. Hadn’t really noticed her until it was time to share the peace. When I turned around, I almost froze. Woah… thankfully I snapped out of it and shook her hand. Realised that I sang the hymns louder with more emotions and gusto after that. Stood more upright too. Sorry, that should not be the case but I am human too, haha… Never seen her in church before. Did some shopping at Suntec City with my family and realised that there were many changes to it, including the Food Republic. The whole shopping complex was thronged with people especially when there seemed to be a massive travel fair going on in the convention centres and in Marina Square.

Dinner was some French baguettes from Carrefour and a huge pot of Muthu’s Curry which we bought from Little India. Yummy! Love that fish curry, haha… I am a “curry” person. A sumptuous dinner and yet again, I am missing out on my once-weekly evening run… awww… losing discipline. Don’t even think of Stanchart’s marathon! Haha… Then spent the evening watching “Legally Blonde II” and wondering how Hollywood could actually make a blonde lawyer who has a fetish for pink apparel into a star of a movie with a plot about fighting for animal rights. Amazing, haha… Now, giving myself a deserved break… Should actually be doing up the roster but nah… not tonight!. ;-) Looking forward to my extended leave from National Day to Sunday! 4 solid days of rest, yay! Alright… nothing if you are still a student, haha… but I am still happy with that. Can’t wait for it to arrive. Maybe can catch a movie and explore some nature reserve (MacRitchie Reservoir?) next week… we will see.

My life just took a huge change. 3 months as a preceptor came, passed by and gone. Need a little adjustment I must say. On Friday (3-8-2007), it was a day to remember. My student helped me to stack up goods like every good old busy Fridays. Gave her a farewell lunch treat at Ichiban Sushi, since she likes Japanese food (esp. Chawanmushi). Coincidentally, we realised much later that her classmate was sitting just beside us with his preceptor on another table. We were divided from each other by the sushi conveyor belt. Later, dinner was at LJS for the first time. The day came to a close. I shook her hand farewell and that was it. My preceptor experience ended that very moment. As I waited for the bus, I read her letter and it was one of the most beautiful I ever read. I am just so glad that this stint made a positive difference to her and her perception of retail pharmacy. She got me a whole huge box of delicious Golden Boronia nougats which I am still munching every night in my bedroom, haha…

Saturday (4-8-2007), which was yesterday, came and went. Suddenly, I had so much time at hand. Without a student, it seemed like I had lots of free time…. So much so that I chalked up 9 CPE (Continuing Pharmacy Education) points to bring my tally from 36 to 45 in just that single day at work!!!!! Amazing! The articles weren’t that difficult and for some of them, I actually just did the assessment without really reading the articles and still scored between 80 – 90% for most of them. The best was full marks but the worst was 50% (just passed) though. =P I just need to complete 5 more points by end of August 2008, next year.

Ok, still stuck at 9,999-mark for the site-meter, hmmm… never-mind. Tomorrow onwards, a new phase of my working life once again. Gonna make the best out of it. ;-) Take care and goodnight!

God Bless,

Andrew
