Trapped in the lift for the first time in my life... but it came in pairs! Arrgghhh

Dear Diary,

No... I am not talking about how I met up with old pharmacy classmates after my MBA class and how we roamed Orchard Road during the APEC summit as if we were still undergraduates. I am not talking also about how my former pharmacy assistant rang me up to ask about the date of Jesus's birth and we spoke at length as I haven't spoken to him in about 2 years. Neither am I talking about the recent Colorectal congress which the Health Minister stood at our booth and showed such intense interest. Nope... none of those... but something I will probably never experience for the rest of my life ever again, hahaha... not that I want to! =P

Can you beat this? You walk into a lift, got trapped in it for the first time in your entire life and the alarm button fails. Eventually someone extricates you out at 39th storey. He then joins you in another lift to go down, only to be trapped again... this time... together! At least, the lift happens to be stuck at the 2nd storey... then when more technicians try to get you out, they realise they can only release you out at 26th storey! As they are doing so and you are been bounced about in that lift which kept hopping (moving up quickly and then plunging abruptly a couple of times), you receive news that a third lift was stuck which meant that there is only one working lift left. After you got out at level 26, totally deprived of sufficient oxygen, you decide you can't risk anymore and walked down 26 storeys to go for lunch... nice finale.

Yes, that happened yesterday 20th November 2009. No, I am not claustrophobic now, haha... in fact, I took a couple more lift rides that same day... Just can't imagine how "suay" it can be and it happened when I am having symptoms of flu: hacking cough, rhinorrhea, pharyngitis, dysphonia, malaise... Oh well... signing off now to get more rest. ;-)

Have a nice weekend!

God Bless,

Andrew
