Bolt - 3D
Dear Diary,
Took an off-day today and caught up with a friend. I thought I would be very early when I left my house at 8.15am but I was wrong. I could not board the train at Aljunied MRT station after two trains went by. Then, I took a train going the opposite direction and attempted to take the train again one stop earlier at Paya Lebar MRT station but it was futile again for 2 more trains! I then took the train to a further station Eunos, and only at that stop, did I manage to squeeze into the train like a packed sardine. Many commuters at that station could not board it. What an incredibly good world-class award-winning train system we’ve got. Still remember that in my university days, such sight for the west-bound route is only observed from the Kallang MRT station onwards. Guess it got worse over time. Thankfully, I usually drive around these days.
Anyway, I alighted at the Marina Bay station and took a free shuttle to the Marina Barrage, which is a new city reservoir. The place was peaceful and scenic but kinda small if you ask me. Plus, coincidentally, all the 6 must-see galleries are close on Tuesdays. What a waste. Had a long chat with my friend before proceeding for lunch at Pizza Hut and movie at Suntec City.
If you are wondering what movie to catch, you may want to consider “Bolt”, the movie cartoon by Walt Disney. I watched the 3-D version... yeah, with that 3-D glasses which could be more comfortable for spectacles-wearing geeks like me, hahaha... It is an outstanding cartoon indeed, as good as the best of Pixar, like “The Incredibles”, “Monster Inc”, “Ratatouille”... I think there is one more upcoming Pixar movie “Up” which seems like a good movie to catch too! The “Bolt” movie has an incredibly good plot. The animation is good and that doggy “Bolt” (voice by John Travolta) is super cute. Makes me want to own a dog until I remember SPCA, haha... The girl “Penny” (voice by Miley Cyrus) was adorable too. Go catch it... worth every cent of it. The 3-D effect was quite okay and makes all the scenes kinda pop out at you.
Among the sound tracks, I was totally impressed by a trailing music at the ending of the movie. I have got the full version of it on youtube. Let me share them with you here... Hope you love it as I do! ;-) So... presenting....
Barking at the Moon
by Jenny Lewis
I have got so much to give, I swear I do.
I may not have nine lives, this one feels brand new.
Yes I've lived a good one.
I have tried to be true.
There are some things I never realized, till I met you.
How the wind feels on my cheeks, when I'm barking at the moon.
[chorus]
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
Woo Woo! Here I come.
Woo Woo! Back to you.
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
Well I was in trouble, bad.
I was so confused.
I may not see in color babe, but I sure can feel blue.
I have been a lot of things, they may not all be true.
My experience was so mysterious, till I met you.
Now the sun will rise in the east, but I'm barking at the moon.
[Chorus]
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
Woo Woo! Here I come.
Woo Woo! Back to you.
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
All the best and may you have a nice exciting week ahead!
God Bless,
Andrew
