Life These Days

Dear Diary

Life has been pretty busy but I am not complaining! Sometimes, I am beginning to understand that if you do things you are interested in…. you will not mind the effort put into it! =) Life over the last two weeks is tiring no doubt but pretty satisfying. Rushing to the army camp on the only two available weekday evenings I have, then returning home after 10.30pm from Monday to Saturday…. Upon reaching home, have to make rosters or mark some essays or make notes to teach my students the next day…. So I don’t sleep earlier than midnight usually. Although I try to sleep at midnight exactly (yes, my students call me “Andrella” which is an interesting innovative adaptation from “Cinderella”), many times I couldn’t.

Teaching those students have been a pretty nice experience for me. I enjoy having them around but I wonder if my enthusiasm will wane off by the time the next batch of student arrive in 2 weeks’ time. I will be guiding only one female student for the next batch. You couldn’t believe how I teach the students… I give them a working life which I knew I would like if I were a student like them. They have excellent working hours. I teach them stuff and link the stuff to the theory component which they are familiar with from pharmacy school. They are rewarded with some of the most interesting things. There were times I taught them how to make origami as a reward. Now, the girl who did not like origami and didn’t know how to make one…. She is making origami everywhere she go… oh yes, even making a bouquet of flowers for a female locum pharmacist and trying to impersonate me…. Aiyo…. She even taught her mum origami. ;-)

Gave them some meal treats and even did dumb things with them like reading “Thumbelina” story to them one dinner break in the children’s section of the library. Oh well… we were all exhausted from working long hours… but it was hilarious! Anyway, had a chat with an ex-classmate two days ago and she told me that she felt as if age is catching up with her. She is one of the oldest friends I have from my university years. She felt she no longer is ambitious. I thought her word struck me very hard too…. I felt that too. Somehow, in recent months, my passion to strive for academic advancement and career progression is on a drastic downturn. Maybe my priorities in life are slowly changing. We will see how it goes.

That’s all for now. Take care!

God Bless,

Andrew

Consider finding new direction in your life such as looking for new goal to achieve but not to dwell on goals set but not achieved. Forget about the past and look forward to the future in a "new direction" ! Perhaps getting new friends to widen social circle, join another social event, attend short-term upgrading courses etc. Then lifestyle maybe not so routine. I am also looking for new priorities in life as my "old" priorities did not take off as what I had wanted and expected to be.

Hi Neely, the Lucy... haha...

Nice to hear from you again. =) What made you do the U-turn to visit my blog again? Haha... Yup, initially, I stopped blogging for a couple of months.

Maybe I should consult you on some spiritual and life priority issues... hee... you seem to appear at the crucial time! =) Hope life in seminary has been good for you! ;-)
