A Decade of Reminiscence
Dear Diary,
The second week of my students’ attachment is drawing to an end. How proud I am that they have a pretty good grasp of knowledge for the over-the-counter (OTC) products. Looking at them does remind me of the days when I was doing preceptorship with a female classmate of mine in Parkway Parade then. I really hope to make this attachment a fruitful and pleasurable one for them… and it is a challenge because I have to weather external pressures to change their working schedules to less convenient ones, to get them involved in unnecessary manual work…. I am still holding on to my stance in doing what I deem as “welfare” to them.
Personally, I have always relished teaching, mentoring and guiding students. Somehow, I know that as a preceptor or teacher… especially a Christian one… people look at how I behave and hopefully they see a glimpse of the Christian values I hold and the God I worship. The female student is one of those awesome model Catholics which, in my opinion, are endangered species. I think she is a great lady! As for the male student, he is one comical innocent-looking guy… I think he is a really comfortable person to be communicating with. =) Anyway, we have a training at Singapore Management University (SMU) in the morning tomorrow. However, will meet them early and bring them around Saint Andrew’s Cathedral to have a look! ;-)
Last Saturday was my college class gathering. A more significant fact was that it was our tenth anniversary. Yup, a decade of friendship. I rushed down after work and met up with them at a condominium in Kovan. We were so excited to know how everyone was doing that we eventually switched “off” the television which was broadcasting the FA Cup Finals between Manchester United and Chelsea. To my delight, I learnt that Chelsea came out victors with an extra-time goal from Didier Drogba.
We stayed in that house till almost 2am before a classmate drove me home in her car. How time flies. Sometimes, I don’t even feel the difference between now and a decade ago. The puzzling thing is that many of my classmates are “unattached”, although 2 of them will be having their respective weddings soon. Well… how that I am approaching 27 years old, I am admittedly a little fearful and apprehensive whether I will ever get married. I definitely do not have the gift of celibacy! I know I’ve got to do something… but what????
It is nice that soccer arena in Europe ended with AC Milan triumphing over Liverpool 2-1 last night with two goals from veteran striker Inzaghi. =) Milan is now the newly crowned Champion of Europe.
God Bless,
Andrew

Then do something instead of blogging about it. Actions, don't talk, talk only. :P
