Randomness!

Dear Diary,

The radio is playing softly at the background. Oh… how I miss those youth days of mine. I remember how Perfect 10 (98.7FM) used to be my favourite radio station when I was in my upper secondary school and junior college days. Over the last 3 days, I listened to the radio as I surfed the Internet. I listen to Class 95 (95FM) these days because they play my “generation” kind of music there. Perfect 10 is too “hip” for me and I can’t relate to it. Having evenings free is just so wonderful! I think I am so much revitalised by it! ;-) I can’t believe that I am still watching “Hearts at 19” every evening for 3 consecutive evenings already. Tomorrow will make it the 4th consecutive one, haha… I like the character played by Pu Yuzhen in that drama. I know it is crazy but that rich spoilt girl seems cute to me, haha… How nice to be in the shoes of Yuqing in that show, haha… =P

It is fun to just work once a while between vacation leave breaks, haha… Today, I left my house a little earlier because I wanted to eat a heavy breakfast at the Changi Airport Terminal 2 staff canteen before transiting to another terminal to work. The only good point of holding the airport transit access pass is to get discount at that staff canteen, keke… Think my colleagues and superiors will kill me for being so frank, haha… I am still psyching myself about next week’s punishing roster of 10.30am to 1am on one of the days, sigh… Oh well… on my way to airport at Aljunied MRT station, I bumped into a student who was attached to my company for preceptorship in the first batch this year! Said hi to her and she told me that she was waiting for someone. Ahhh… she must have lived quite near where I reside. If not for the fact that I was a little pressed for time, I would have talked to her a little more. =) However, somehow I could just feel that she seems a little troubled… unlike her more cheerful demeanour weeks ago!

Ate at the staff canteen and enjoyed every morsel of food! I believe I am easily satisfied, haha… Simple fare is good enough for me. ;-) Worked in a particular outlet in the airport and it was awfully boring. There were barely any customers but I kept myself busy with some admin work that I dug out. Got a shock when I saw an email from HR that misunderstood that I want to withdraw my resignation!!! Geesh… I quickly clarified that they were mistaken. I can’t wait any longer, haha… ie. I wanna get out of this retail life soon! Haha… Puzzled how they had this impression that I wanna withdraw my resignation… Totally preposterous!

A colleague asked me if he could “deposit” his “first-class honours” male student with me for a day next week. Hmmm… I was a little reluctant but I told him I wouldn’t mind. “First class” isn’t such a big thing when one ever had a “Dean’s List” student attached, right? Haha… besides, the only student I will love to take will be the one with that “enthu” look, haha… basically, the one who was supposed to be my student. Not sure if my previous student knows that I am always biased towards my own students! So she is very fortunate too! Haha… At 3.30pm sharp, I left my duty and paid up for my purchases of almost a hundred dollars… that outlet should really thank me for contributing generously to their sale, hee… Then I took a train and was actually almost “tricked” by a colleague. She saw me at Tanah Merah train platform and called me through the mobile phone although she was just less than 5 metres away. Wanted to trick me to go back to airport because I “supposedly” left something “very important” behind. Apparently, I did not fall for that trick because whatever “important” thing I left behind, I am not going to waste my time going back… and that included her! Hahaha… Yes, I almost wanted to cheekily say that but decided not to because I wasn’t too sure if she would be offended by that joke, haha…

Chatted with her for the remaining of the journey and then popped by a small eatery beside Aljunied MRT station for a quick late lunch. It was 4.10pm when I ate that expensive $3.20 mumbo jumbo of a food. That is basically my day… the calm before the storm? Haha… That’s all. Ciao!

God Bless,

Andrew
